The role

You’ll report to Associate Director, Global Publicity

You will have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in international publicity for Account Director / 10 years’ experience in international publicity for Senior Account Director.

The Account Director / Senior Account Director makes everything run like clockwork. This role works independently and part of the team to create exciting opportunities for our clients. You’ll continue to build on your exceptional relationships with press, international sales agents, international film festivals, distributors, streamers, broadcasters and their local partners and talent, as well as developing new ones. You’ll devise proposals and strategies and take the lead on the international roll-out of a project, adapting to changing pressures and circumstances with a steady and calm attitude. You’ll actively promote our skill base and capability. You’ll take the lead in demonstrating best practice behaviours and coaching and mentoring team members to success. You’ll reach out to your peers to create compelling new business approaches. You’ll provide counsel to your clients and support our vision to grow our business through being a long-term, trusted partner.

Your generalism

Every Account Director / Senior Account Director needs to bring a core set of skills to the table:

1. Be organised – you’ll be handling a high volume of workload with a significant level of accountability, so you need to be an excellent juggler and able to identify priorities in a high-pressured environment.

2. Be proactive – develop and implement processes that improve the day-to-day running of the team and/or a particular project – being proactive and creative in your approach

3. Be strategic – you will have a clear vision of how a campaign will play out – targeted, not scattergun, impactful not run-of-the-mill, and creative not formulaic

Your specialism

As a senior member of the Global Publicity Team , you’ll need to be an expert in these areas:

1. Devising and implementing creative publicity strategies to support our client’s objectives for international publicity campaigns across Film (Theatrical and Streaming) and Television content (Linear and Streaming) – from the production stages, through festival launches, to release/launch/TX.

2. International Film Festival campaigns – leading launches, campaigns, and strategies for clients, working on behalf of film productions, world sales companies and filmmakers to optimize film launches.

3. Identifying new business opportunities that could bring new clients and revenue to the agency

4. Maintaining and developing exceptional relationships with international media & trade press, clients (film festivals, production companies/sales agents/studios) and their local release partners

5. Flexibility to work outside of standard working hours at international film and television festivals, junkets, screenings, set visits, and premieres, including support for other departments if required

6. Writing formal PR proposals and delivering presentationsto clients

7. Leadership in meetings with clients, producers and filmmakers

8. Work with Head of Department to prepare SOWs for client, ensuring this is clearly communicated with teams on each projectand can be confidently executed.

9. Be fully competent with internal finance processes ; including overseeing of campaign budgets, processing POs and invoices efficiently, working on Pulse (full training to be given)

10. Overseeing the management of campaigns – giving clear direction to the team and ensuring all elements of a SOW are met and to the highest standard

11. Confident in handling high profile talent at all stages of a campaign with strong experience in liaising with agents and personal publicists

12. Overseeing all aspects of a press junket, press trip, premiere/festival launch, photocall or event, including multi-talent schedules and logistics; anticipating complications and trouble-shooting during the process

13. Overseeing the collation, reporting and analysis of coverage and campaign status and effectiveness

14. Line management of multiple AM/SAMs to include regular check ins, bi-annual appraisals, goal setting and holiday approvals.

15. Be involved in the selection and interview process of potential candidates for new hires within the team, providing formal offers to successful candidates and liaising with the People Team re contracts and equipment.

16. Contribute to ideas/brainstorms/pitches outside of projects you are directly working on, in order to offer valuable, experienced insight to the wider agency

17. Feed into agency Goal setting with proactive initiatives and positive ideas around the key pillars of People, Work, Clients, Reputation and Growth.

18. Share your knowledge, learnings and experience with the broader team and contribute to the training and development of your colleagues.

19. Be passionate – show a keen interest and knowledge of entertainment content, particularly film and television.

20. Attend weekly resource planning meetings – with senior Global team to ensure the staffing of projects across the team is coordinated and collaborative.

21. Attend bi-weekly Senior Management meetings and monthly New Business Meetings – to ensure communications across all departments of business is coordinated and collaborative.

22. Proactively promoting the work your project teams have delivered both internally via company meetings and weekly round-ups and externally through the Organic social channels.

23. Understand the importance of corporate communications and reputation building for the agency – identify and pursue opportunities for team members to participate in panels, trade and consumer press features, thought leadership pieces, podcasts, talks, webinars and etc in order to promote the agency and the team.

24. Actively seek out opportunities for Organic to be a force for good – through pro bono work, certain important projects or filmmakers’ work or through social issue driven initiatives.

27. SAD level – Attend bi-weekly Senior Management meetings and monthly New Business Meetings – to ensure communications across all departments of business is coordinated and collaborative.
