Shire Healthcare are recruiting for an Addictions Therapist to work across an inpatients service in Southeast London who have an overall CQC rating of “Good.”
Role snapshot:
The candidate appointed will be working with adults within an inpatient setting delivering assessments and 121 therapy to those admitted to the service. The post holder will offer an intensive, abstinence-based programme with high levels of group therapy and a strong emphasis on aftercare support. The role will include facilitating specialist psycho-educational groups, relapse prevention therapy groups and individual sessions.
Contract type: permanent
Hours: Full time only*
* (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm and Thursday from 11:00am-7:00pm, with the requirement to work an occasional rotational Saturday from 9:00am-5:00pm)
Salaries:
– Full accreditation – £39,100 – 45,300 FTE
– Working towards accreditation – £27,800 – 36,000 FTE
Experience required:
Those applying will have a minimum of a Level 5 diploma in counselling (or a relevant professional qualification in addictions) and BACP accreditation. Subject to applications, those working towards accreditation within the next 6-12 months will be considered. Previous experience of working with the 12-step recovery model is required.
