- Searchability NS&D has a permanent opportunity for a Technical Authority Mobile Applications Engineer to work across an exciting range of projects.
- Salaries up to £85k + package.
- Based in Portsmouth – 4 days on site per week.
WHAT WILL THE TECHNICAL AUTHORITY MOBILE APPLICATIONS ENGINEER BE DOING?
- Developing mobile software as part of an enterprise, multi-discipline engineering team.
- Being a point of contact within a team of engineers for technical guidance.
- Providing technical guidance to multiple stakeholders to allow informed decisions to be made.
- Taking a significant role in hiring new engineers and helping to create a high-performing team.
- Being proactive in leading other developers and the direction of the products.
- Disseminating the direction of project architecture, upholding coding standards, and implementing quality improvements.
- Working in an Agile team structure, breaking down requirements into manageable goals and deliverable stories.
- Interacting with various stakeholders including collaboration with software architects, UI/UX teams, PA/QA, project managers, product owners, and Scrum masters.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experience with complex iOS and Android development from both native and cross-platform perspectives.
- Experience in regular deployment schedules with both App Store and beta deployment tools.
- Proven track record of technical leadership of teams (excluding line management).
- Worked with and implemented full CI/CD pipelines including unit testing.
- Good communication skills on both technical and non-technical levels.

- Charting/Map integration.
- Payment system and subscription integration.
- Encryption.
- Hardware integration.
- IoT and cloud.
- API and SDK development.
- SSO and other user management solutions.
- Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
- Test automation.

- An interest or knowledge of the marine industry.
