The Hyde Group are established Industry experts within Aerospace Engineering and have a new vacancy for a Design Project Manager, based at our divisional head office in Dukinfield. This exciting role would involve you taking the lead on design-based projects and developing and maintaining the relationship between ourselves and one of our major OEM’s You will play a major part in ensuring that all our deliverables and project milestones are achieved by liaising with the customer and our production team. You will effectively communicate with all key stakeholders, tracking and monitoring progress whilst proactively managing any risks to the project. Essential Skills * Conversant in key engineering disciplines: Finite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Rotordynamics. * Understanding of a wide array of engineering disciplines including Computer Aided Design, Metallurgy, Electrical Control & Instrumentation, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems. * An ability to read key engineering literature such as specification documents, technical drawings, datasheets, piping & instrumentation diagrams. * Strong IT Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project). * Effective communication skills: Presenting technical information to internal staff and external customers. Desirable Skills * A strong understanding of both gas turbine technology and test rig manufacturing processes. * Background in engineering design or manufacturing. * Experience in managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.
