The Role – Marketing & Sales Executive

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to support our sales team in London working closely with the Head of Sales in lead generation through effective marketing strategies, partnership management and desk based sales support activities.

In this role, you will work closely with marketing and sales developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies with a strong focus on lead generation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B marketing, particularly in the tech and data management sectors. You will support the sales team with all other administrative duties involving presentation packs, collateral gathering, case studies and event management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lead generation strategies to fill the sales funnel cost-effectively.
  • Generate content relevant to Talan Data & AI target audience, using key insights and pain points.
  • Create and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including SEO, email marketing, PPC, content marketing, and social media.
  • Analyse industry trends, market conditions, and competitors' tactics to identify new opportunities.
  • Manage contracts and spend with external marketing partners. Build and nurture relationships to get the most from our partnerships.
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management, reporting to sales, leadership teams and wider team on marketing progress.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to align efforts and ensure smooth lead nurturing is smooth and effective.
  • Utilise and manage marketing automation tools and CRM systems to track and nurture leads.
  • Measure and report on key performance metrics, providing insights to optimise lead generation efforts.
  • Managing vendor partnerships reporting to sales team about important events, webinars, conferences, new offerings and technologies.
  • Maintaining and building on content for social media feeds on Linkedin and our website.
  • Keeping abreast of vendor events and conferences which could be relevant for our sales team.
  • Arranging and coordinating client marketing events and liaising with event companies.
  • Ad hoc desk based sales administration involving contract renewals, presentation & collateral support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in the tech or data management industry
  • Proven success in developing and executing lead generation campaigns
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven, results-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in marketing automation systems, Salesforce and web analytics platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with marketing database management and data-driven marketing strategies

Required Skills:

  • Ability to quickly understand Talan’s services and how they serve the needs of clients
  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop comprehensive marketing plans
  • Proficiency in digital marketing techniques and best practices
  • Ability to analyse data, derive actionable insights and make data-based decisions
  • Creativity in developing engaging marketing content and campaigns
  • Familiarity with lead scoring and qualification processes
  • Understands persona of buyer and evolving needs in the drive for efficiency ROI & expertise.
  • Salesforce and Linkedin Sales Navigator experience
  • Proactive, inquisitive and excellent communication skills

• Experience or a keen interest in working with a consultancy business and/or working in a IT/Technology/Data environment.
