Responsibilities and Duties
We expect our Web Developer to contribute significantly to the technical success of our projects while actively supporting the development and evolution of our systems and practices. Reporting to the CTO and working closely with our project manager and editorial teams, this individual will work on critical technical initiatives across a number of projects and websites.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with peers to ensure effective communication, clear distribution of responsibilities, and alignment on goals. They will support the growth of junior engineers and contribute to the team’s overall technical capabilities, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in modern web development technologies, including PHP, JavaScript/Node, CSS, and modern frameworks such as NEXT/NUXT, React, VueJS, and Tailwind.
- Knowledge and experience with WordPress, including plugin development and theme modification.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and languages quickly.
- Experience with ad systems and technologies is a plus; knowledge of header bidding (e.g., Prebid) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with high-traffic WordPress websites is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of hosting and managing websites, with some exposure to Docker and Kubernetes being a plus.
