It is the responsibility of a business development manager to represent the business & its divisions interests at all times with the aim of:

Primary

  1. Identifying suitable project opportunities and securing a PQQ.
  2. Taking full, detailed project briefs.
  3. Proficiency in making outbound phone calls/cold calling and a willingness to engage with potential clients.
  4. Prepositioning to improve our likelihood of winning work through meetings with associated professional teams and the client.
  5. Supporting project development, chasing and prepositioning for leads identified by others within the business that are issued to you.
  6. Ensuring CRM’s accuracy.
  7. Maintaining and building new relationships with clients and professional teams.

Secondary

  1. Increasing market perceptions and general visibility – events, meetings, marketing and all means of business development activity.
  2. Identify market trends and emerging sector opportunities.
  3. Supporting preconstruction with win themes utilising obtained project intelligence.
  4. Building an expert level of understanding of our market and sectors we operate in.
  5. Supporting each other through utilisation of your contacts & knowledge.
  6. Offering thoughts & suggestions for the improvement of our marketing.
  7. Accurate reporting of progress.
