The Role

The Market Manager at G2 Travel oversees account management, business development, and partnerships to drive growth and ensure seamless travel services. Key responsibilities include sales, contract negotiations, resolving operational issues, and promoting the brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of a portfolio of Accounts
  • Working with IT on the resolution of technical issues
  • Liaise with business teams to resolve any customer operational issues
  • Understand and maintain knowledge of the market areas, key players, competitors and potential partners
  • Initiate promotions and suggest commercial proposals
  • Identify potential opportunities and new clients
  • Promote and drive brand awareness for G2 Travel
  • Attend Trade Shows and Conferences as required
  • Monitor client booking numbers
  • Assess margins against set targets
  • Liaise with Finance regarding credit agreements, payment terms and Risk Management
  • Agree sales forecasts, budget proposals and commercial proposals
  • Ensure client Accounts are maintained with operational and opportunities, and recorded and reported periodically
  • Work collaboratively to be part of the FIT Sales Team and wider G2 Travel network to find solutions and future business.

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

  • Business-to-Business sales experience within a service industry, ideally in the hospitality
  • or travel distribution industries
  • Account management (within the Travel industry preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills at all levels of Account operations
  • Eye for detail, strong planning and organisational skills
  • Understanding of API technology
  • Fluent verbal and written in English and Spanish language is a must
  • Additional European language(s) Portuguese preferable
  • Understanding of API technology
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Freedom, flexibility and willingness to travel
