Electrical Engineer

Salary range between £41,000 – £45,000
Joining our Scrap Purchasing team as Electrical Engineer, you’ll be working on some of the largest pieces of kit and machinery you’ll find in the industry. Some of the accountabilities include…
- Plan, prioritise, schedule, and manage electrical activities to rectify break-downs and malfunctions and minimise business disruptions
- Develop and implement electrical repair and maintenance procedures
- Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external contractors to minimize costs and ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
- Work directly with engineers in other disciplines to augment/and or modify production capacity and value
You’ll be responsible for keeping the machinery in our yards running efficiently, ensuring smooth operations so that we can process scrap metal effectively.
Ideally, you have previously worked within heavy industry as an Electrical Engineer or in a similar role. You’ll be qualified in high voltage systems (LV/HV authorised) and have previous experience leading or managing teams.
You need a minimum of NVQ L3 in Engineering to be considered for the role.
We’re a recycling company. We recycle scrap metal into reinforcing steel which is used in infrastructure projects such as Wembley Stadium and The Shard. Without scrap metal we couldn’t function, which is why your role is so important to what we do.
