Synonymous with great British design and heritage, Globe-Trotter is a luxury travel lifestyle brand producing handcrafted luggage and leather collections. Established in 1897 and celebrating the 125th anniversary in 2022, Globe-Trotter makes the most beautiful and durable luggage in the world. The business has been Private Equity backed since 2020.
Globe-Trotter is a truly global business trading in more than 80 countries, with significant brand awareness in Japan, Europe and the USA and an increasing footprint in the GCC, China and South East Asia.
We are looking for a hands-on eCommerce Manager to lead the day-to-day management of our online store. This role focuses on front-end operations, product management, and optimising the online shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and analytical skills, paired with a passion for luxury branding and customer experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Front-End Operations: Use our headless front-end to build and maintain the Shopify Plus website, including products, pages, and posts, ensuring a seamless and luxurious user experience.
- Product Management:
- Build, manage, and update product listings, ensuring all details are accurate and aligned with Globe-Trotter’s brand standards.
- Manage the Product Information Management (PIM) system to ensure accurate and consistent product data across all platforms.
- Collaborate on product launches, working closely with the marketing team to ensure all content, specifications, and visuals are correct and aligned with brand standards.
- Website Oversight: Operate and manage three Shopify websites, ensuring consistency and quality across all platforms.
- Collaboration with Leadership: Work directly with the Head of eCommerce to align strategies and implement improvements effectively.
- SEO & Internal Search Optimisation: Optimise on-site content and metadata to improve search rankings and internal search functionality using tools like SEMRush to identify opportunities and track developments.
- Data Analysis: Analyse eCommerce performance using tools like GA4 (Google Analytics 4) and Lucky Orange to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
- Experiments & Recommendations: Conduct A/B tests and implement data-driven experiments to improve site performance and customer experience.
- Shopify POS: Manage the Shopify Point of Sale system, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with online operations.
- Internal Recommendations: Utilise insights to recommend changes to the website, product offerings, and overall online experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and operations teams to align online store efforts with broader company goals.
Requirements of the role
Experience:
- 3+ years in eCommerce management, ideally within a luxury or premium goods brand.
- Proven experience managing Shopify Plus or similar eCommerce platforms.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency with GA4 (Google Analytics 4) and tools like Lucky Orange for heatmaps and behaviour analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization.
- Understanding of SEO best practices and internal search optimization.
- Familiarity with A/B testing tools and methodologies.
- Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation.
