Product Engineering Team Leader
Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for leadership? We are seeking a Product Engineering Team Leader to join our growing team, working on innovative projects that serve key global markets.
Company Overview:
Join a global manufacturer of complex mechanical equipment, based near Dunball / Wembdon / Bridgwater , as they expand their product lines and innovate within the industry. This dynamic site, with around 100 employees, boasts a strong order book and exciting new projects on the horizon. Specialising in the design and manufacture of customisable materials within the mechanical engineering space, supplying into all industries with a primary focus on highly regulated industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take on a 30%/70% role split – hands-on leading from the front and managing a small team.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a small team of Product Engineers & Commercial Engineering Team, ensuring alignment with KPIs and business objectives.
- Oversee and contribute to the development and maintenance of product engineering tools, working practices, and project databases.
- Respond to engineering enquiries, produce manufacturing print sets, and support new product/process development in line with the business plan.
- Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external customers, presenting project outcomes and supporting technical training.
Essential Requirements/Experience:
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams and working within cross-functional project environments.
- Strong engineering/manufacturing background.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and resourceful attitude.
Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive annual salary circa £40K-£50K per annum.
