Here at SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK we have an opportunity for a creative Health and Safety professional where you will provide strategic day to day support to staff and sites in the North of the Region, within Processing, Logistics and Energy. You will have autonomy to manage your own varied workload in a role where no two weeks are the same., * We offer a salary from £47,689 to £55,939 plus Car/Allowance ( £7,630 – £8,344 ) plus up to 10% Bonus, Healthcare and Pension alongside a range of other employee benefits.

What will I be Doing?

This is a customer facing role with weekly travel across your region, flexibility is therefore required.

You will advise, guide, coach, support and train operational managers, supervisors, safety representatives and employees.

As well as being our Health and Safety guru, you will be a collaborative leader and people manager providing guidance, support and development to your team of Health & Safety advisors and your stakeholders.

Problem solving will be natural to you, helping drive pragmatic and practical infield Health & Safety solutions.

You will lead on Health & Safety reporting and incident investigation for the region and therefore will need strong data analysis and presentation skills.
Additionally as a strong communicator the ability to drive engagement will be key as you will lead the North Regional Health, Safety & Wellbeing forum, developing our safety and wellbeing representative network and aligning yourself with the Operational Teams.

You will need a Nebosh Diploma/NVQ level 5 in Occupational Safety and Health and be a Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

Previous experience in a similar multisite role with a complex structured organisation is essential.
