We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing commercial team.

Job brief

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our customer base. As the face of the company, we are looking for a values-based individual who can live up to the high expectations set.

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for driving business growth within the B2B division of the company, reporting directly to the Commercial Director.

It is expected you will create, maintain and/or develop a network of contacts to attract new customers. You will have expertise in researching new market opportunities, making sales projections and forecasting revenue in line with projected income.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services;
  • Meeting existing and potential customers whilst building positive relationships;
  • Opportunities to create development plans, forecasting sales targets and growth projections;
  • Liaising with colleagues to develop sales and marketing strategies;
  • Time on the road meeting with, and presenting to, new prospects;
  • Attending events such as exhibitions and conferences;
  • Preparing sales presentations and participating in sales meetings;
  • Producing reports for management;
  • Pitching sales and products to new and existing clients.

Experience

  • Proven experience within Sports Technology or Sports Performance as a Business Development Manager (or equivalent position);
  • Proven sales track record of setting and achieving targets;
  • Market knowledge;
  • Strategic and creative mind;
  • Someone who can build, maintain, improve and deliver on existing processes and protocols;
  • Adaptability and flexibility to cope with the ever-demanding world of sport;
  • Technical skills to understand and deliver our offering (products and solutions) by focusing on the customer’s needs;
  • Possessing a strong understanding of the company’s products, the competition in the industry and positioning;

Skills and Qualifications

  • Communication and negotiation skills;
  • Time management and planning skills;
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field is a minimum requirement;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (ideally Salesforce);
  • Proficiency in English, with a second language desirable.
