Position: Mechanical Site Supervisor Department: Mechanical Division Reporting to: Mechanical Contracts Manager Status of post: Full-Time Position Salary:Remuneration Package will be competitive and in line with experience Job Description The role of the Mechanical Site Supervisor will be pivotal to Irwins ongoing growth and success and the job role will include: Supervise and monitor all mechanical activities, Ensure that all works are carried out per the project schedule, design specifications, and quality standards. Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance Liaise with contractors, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of mechanical works. Facilitate communication between the project team and other departments Attend site meetings to report progress, discuss challenges, and suggest solutions. Ensure that materials and equipment used in mechanical installations meet the required quality standards and specifications. Identify and report any discrepancies or non-conformance issues Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations on-site, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to prevent accidents or incidents during mechanical installations. Supporting Contracts Manager on a variety of contracts and keeping within budgets in order to maximise profit potential Procurement of material, ordering of material and delivery of material on time Supervising and managing labour allocation and resources Working alongside the other Site Supervisors and Contract Managers in planning, scheduling and carrying out work, including managing the resources Essential Criteria The applicant should be fully qualified Plumber/Heating Engineer Experience in surveying plumbing/heating systems Experience in supervising a small team Experience in commercial and industrial sectors IT literate, e.g. proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel or similar Excellent communication skills Be able to work on own initiative and show willingness to progress within the business Ability to demonstrate good team ethos Full driving licence Desirable Criteria Whilst not essential it would be advantageous for the candidate to have: Worked with measured term contracts (MTC rates) Experience with specialised software packages such as Amtech or AutoCAD software As part of the Day-to-Day nature of this demanding and exciting role it is of equal importance that the candidate: Is able to discuss and promote other niche services with clients and consultants that Irwin M&E can provide that would maximise opportunities Shows ability to manage and deal with multi-tasking and heavy workloads, so prioritising is of importance Be willing to attend seminars and courses where required Be willing to travel Be prepared to work on call Be aware of and work within Irwins guidelines and Helpdesk procedures The company offers: Ongoing training and development opportunities Working alongside experts in their field Health cash plan including compensation for dentistry and optical well being Enhanced maternity and paternity leave Additional holiday increase with length of service Team building and activity days Monthly employee value-based recognition award monetary gift Health, wellbeing and social calendar of events Long service awards Enhanced marriage leave Kingsbridge Membership Club Irwin M&E is driven by values based on loyalty, safety, innovation and success.
