We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Controller to manage logistics operations at our new site, ensuring smooth and efficient stock management, traceability, and delivery to major retail clients while adhering to BRC standards.
About the Role
As a Logistics Controller, you will be responsible for managing stock levels, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations for our high-risk chilled manufacturing site. With your strong background in warehouse management, stock traceability, and GRN (Goods Receipt Note) processes, you’ll ensure that inventory flows seamlessly and in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage logistics operations and ensure timely delivery to retail clients
- Control stock levels and manage inventory, with a focus on chilled goods
- Ensure compliance with BRC standards and traceability throughout the logistics process
- Oversee the GRN process, calling stock off, and maintaining accurate documentation
- Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and internal teams to ensure smooth product flow
- Monitor and track shipments, resolving any issues or delays that arise
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, stock movements, and inventory levels
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize stock control, reduce waste, and improve delivery timelines
- Prepare reports on logistics performance, stock levels, and delivery schedules
Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics control with a strong focus on warehouse operations, particularly with chilled goods
- Solid understanding of traceability and GRN processes
- Experience managing inventory in a high-risk chilled manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of BRC standards and food safety regulations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
