Job Description
We exclusively represent a renowned automated material handling solutions manufacturer looking to strengthen its technical leadership team.
The business designs, manufactures, and assembles its products mainly in its Hull headquarters for installations across the EMEA region. They are complex, bespoke solutions involving mechanical, electrical and control engineering.
A summary of the responsibilities is below:
- Full responsibility for the strategic development of production and engineering capabilities mainly focused on Design Engineering for client projects and NPI.
- Manage Engineering and Production Procurement processes and the management of the inventory levels within the business.
- Leading a multi-disciplined team of 30+ permanent and contingent workers. Split predominantly into: Engineers in electrical, mechanical, controls and software design.
- Ensuring that the project scope, deliverables, costs, risks, and schedule are understood and adhered to including robust change and document management
Required experience:
- Proven leadership capability of an Engineering group. Minimum 8 years in a technical management function
- Electrical Engineering or Control Engineering education would be an advantage
- Experience in supporting sales/project engineering/commissioning & testing related to new product introduction
- Experience in manufacturing and production techniques would be preferred
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
