We are working with a global financial institution to recruit a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst / Data Analyst with a strong background in Regulatory Risk and Reporting. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced financial environment and is passionate about interpreting complex regulatory frameworks and transforming data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities: Analyse and interpret complex regulatory policies (e.g., Reg K, Basel III, MiFID) and translate them into business and data requirements. Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specification Documents (FSDs). Perform data modelling, regression testing, and root cause analysis to support regulatory reporting initiatives. Work with large financial datasets, ensuring accuracy and consistency across key attributes (e.g., CUSIP, ISIN, trade date, settle date). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with evolving regulatory standards. Essential criteria At least 5-7 years\’ experience in a BA/DA role. Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Working knowledge of SQL. Strong understanding of financial products (equities, fixed income, derivatives). Familiarity with financial regulations such as Reg K, Basel III, MiFID, etc. Demonstrated experience in data analysis, documentation, and regression testing. Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of integrity. Strong communication skills with the ability to summarize complex information clearly.
