Systems Administrator: Secure Data Science Infrastructure ISS – Information Systems Services Salary: £39,105 – £45,163 Closing Date: Sunday 15th December 2024 Interview Date: Thursday 19th December 2024 The Opportunity We have an exciting vacancy to help develop our new Secure Data Science Infrastructure supporting users needing compute and storage and leveraging state of the art GPU resources in a secure and scalable manner. We are looking for the right person to join our team to help us establish and run this state-of-the-art facility. Working closely with our existing team delivering environments for novel research projects with all areas of the university and beyond. We are looking for a self-motivated and well-organised team player to join the Storage and Virtualisation team – part of the forward thinking and progressive Technical Infrastructure Group at the heart of a top UK University. You will be using the latest hardware, virtualisation, and advanced security technologies. Our SDDC (Software Defined Data Centre) technology runs on top of latest CPU, GPU and Optane based storage solutions and new high-speed networks and interconnects over dedicated fibre.
