This is a great opportunity for you to join a well-established, growing firm based in the heart of Manchester. With years of experience and establishment they specialise in departments ranging from audit and advisory to tax and more. In terms of their clients, they have a varying portfolio for you to grow your current knowledge from. Due to ongoing internal growth within the practice, an audit and accounts mixed senior job has now arisen, where you can develop both your already existing audit and accounts knowledge.
Your new role
You will be joining a fast paced, growing team of audit and account professionals for you to both learn and develop from. Your day-to-day duties will cover assisting the team and seniors with the planning and fieldwork stages of the audit whilst helping to ensure quality and compliance with clients. You will also work closely with the juniors in the team, advising and guiding them daily through stages of the audit, whilst maintaining current and forming new client relationships. In terms of accounts work, you will be preparing accounts to both manager and partner review, working predominantly on statutory and management accounts. The client base will be similar for both the audit and accounts work., In order to succeed in this role, you will need previous accountancy practice experience, specifically 3 years’, whilst also being part qualified in your ACCA or ACA qualification; finalist level will also be considered. Previous work within a varying team is also ideal for success in this role; experience in assisting juniors within any stage of an audit is desired. Also having experience with preparing accounts before is also required of you and dealing with bookkeeping and having experience of completing VAT returns.
