We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Worldwide Food Safety and Compliance team as a Private Brands Senior Food Regulatory Manager. This position will focus on leading the management of all regulatory aspects relating to the launch of new own label food products for Amazon own label products, ensuring they exceed customer expectations. The role will be involved in all stages from new product concept, through to the launch of the product and post launch product regulatory review. The individual will bring experience and
knowledge of a number of food categories, to the team and support private label regulatory decisions. This role requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in EU food regulation. The individual will work directly with suppliers and internal cross-functional stakeholders to facilitate successful product launches. The individual must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills, a high bar for quality, strong customer obsession, and a track record of operating in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced start up environment. Key job responsibilities Work with the team to ensure product selection meet EU regulatory requirements Work with wider team to ensure product selection is appropriate and will meet or exceed customer expectations Work with manufacturing partners to ensure products have the correct regulatory and technical documentation Attend
pre-production / first production runs ensuring product and process match that defined in the specification Keep abreast of new and upcoming EU regulation and emerging issues in food safety and quality Support the wider food safety team by contributing to shared process and policy development Continuously identify and communicate improvement opportunities Leverage technology to manage compliance processes
Bachelor’s degree in food science, food technology, food safety, regulatory affairs, or a related field- Experience in food regulatory compliance, with a focus on the European Union market- Proven track record of leading and managing food safety and regulatory initiatives for private label/own brand product lines- In-depth knowledge of EU food regulations, labeling requirements, and quality/safety standards, Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent- Master’s degree or equivalentAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
