Contract Network Infrastructure Engineer – Cisco
Rate: £450–£500/day
Type: Contract (6 months+)
IR35: Outside IR35
Location: London - Remote (UK-based)
We are looking for a Cisco Infrastructure Engineer to support the delivery of enterprise-grade network infrastructure across major hyper-scale IT construction projects. This role forms part of our IT Construction & Fit-Out division, supporting a combined programme for NVIDIA and Oracle — spanning from Layer 1 communications through to full infrastructure deployment.
You will be working within a highly agile, fast-moving environment on a wide range of Cisco enterprise technologies, with an emphasis on infrastructure reliability, segmentation, and secure access.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain Cisco enterprise infrastructure across large-scale project environments
- Deploy and support Cisco wireless solutions, Cisco DNA Center, and Catalyst hardware
- Configure and maintain Cisco ASA/Firepower firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation policies
- Contribute to the integration of Cisco ISE, NAC policies, and secure authentication layers
- Support fabric-based infrastructure (SD-Access) and automation readiness
- Work with project stakeholders to align infrastructure delivery to construction timelines
- Participate in infrastructure testing, documentation, and handover to ops teams
- Solid hands-on experience across Cisco enterprise infrastructure stack
- Proven capability in deploying Cisco wireless, ASA/Firepower, and core switch infrastructure
- Familiarity with Cisco DNA Center, ISE, and Secure Access technologies
- CCNA minimum; CCNP or specialist Cisco Infrastructure certs preferred
- Able to work independently, remotely, and across cross-functional teams
- Experience within live or new build environments (e.g. DCs, fit-out, smart buildings) is advantageous
- Cisco Meraki experience within enterprise deployments
- Cloud networking exposure (Azure/AWS networking and security integration)
- Network automation or scripting (Python, Ansible)
- Initial Term: 6 months (with strong extension potential)
- IR35 Status: Outside IR35
- Work Style: Fully remote (UK-based)
