Confirmations Analyst

Petroineos Trading Limited is a trading and refining joint venture between INEOS and PetroChina International (London) Company Limited founded in 2011, with its headquarters based in London. The trading activity is structured around asset-driven and entrepreneurial trading teams in Oil, Refined Products, Gas, Power, Emissions and LNG.

As a Confirmations Analyst, you will manage contract confirmations across PCIL and PITL trading activities, as well as managing ETD and OTC traded positions for Gas, Power, Emission and LNG TVB products.

Responsibilities

• Daily Loan and FX trade validation in ETRM system
• Daily LNG transaction trade checks in ETRM system
• Responsible for reconciling expected execution brokerage charges on T+1, across both ETRM systems and all business lines and send out broker break amendment request to trader
• ECMS auto reconciliation upload, review result and identify trade break
• Follow up with counterparties on any break in ECMS system
• Creating contracts for Gas, Power, Emissions, LNG TVB and OTC financial oil trade which cannot be matched in ECMS
• Reviewing incoming contracts and responding to them in a timely manner
• Download and upload trade details to ICE Trade Vault for REMIT and EMIR reporting
• Manage ECC C7 gas and power position and allocate trade to correct subaccount

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance/Commerce/Mathematics or equivalent
• Possess a strong paralegal background
• Will need to be able to work quickly and accurately on a large volume of work with prompt deadlines
• Should be confident working with complex documentation
• Previous contractual or trading background may be advantageous
• Demonstrable relevant experience in the Gas and Power industry, specially familiar with EFET template
• Endur and ECMS system experience an advantage
