The Role As a Finance Analyst, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. With your skillsets and expertise, you’ll be playing a key role in identifying areas for process and system improvements, including quantifying potential business. Day-to-day, you’ll take responsibility for business analysis services across Babcock’s IFS estate, defining and understanding the clients’ business process, functions, and data. You’ll be working closely with our product owners, stakeholders, and subject matter experts by recommending appropriate options and defining priority. This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and is fully remote. Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. We are happy to consider flexible, blended working, including part-time, condensed hours, and job sharing. Please ask about alternative patterns of work at interview. Essential Experience of the Finance Analyst: IFS Functional experience is required (Finance, HR, P&SC, Maintenance etc). Possess broad understanding of business and business activities with deep knowledge in at least one area of specialisation. Demonstrate a systematic, disciplined analytical approach to problem solving. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Finance background.Qualifications for the Finance Analyst: Ideally, hold a IT HND / bachelor’s degree or hold relevant experience in Finance / Business / Systems / Functional Analysis. Holding or working towards a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS) or equivalent is highly desirable but, not required.Security Clearance The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
