Our high-end, London-based client is looking for a motivated and experienced Garden Maintenance Team Leader to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across some of London’s most prestigious gardens and landscapes, delivering high-quality horticultural care and leading a small team on-site.
Garden Maintenance Team Leader Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and support a small team of gardeners
* Perform a full range of garden maintenance tasks, including planting, pruning, lawn care, and seasonal work
* Liaise confidently and professionally with clients
* Ensure tools, machinery, and vehicles are properly maintained
* Adhere to health and safety procedures on site
* Support team scheduling and job planning as required
Garden Maintenance Team Leader Requirements:
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Previous experience supervising a small team (essential)
* RHS Level 2, NVQ Level 3 in Horticulture, or equivalent (or currently working towards qualification)
* Strong horticultural knowledge and plant care skills
* Familiarity with garden machinery and equipment maintenance
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* High standards of work and attention to detail
* Good physical fitness; must be comfortable with outdoor, hands-on work including heavy lifting
Garden Maintenance Team Leader Desirable criteria:
* PA1 & PA6 spraying certificates
* Experience working in high-end or private residential gardens
* A proactive, flexible attitude and passion for gardening
