Applicants are invited for the position of Assistant Psychologist to work with service users with intellectual disabilities who present with challenging behaviour and who have a secondary diagnosis of mental illness or have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

The successful candidate will join and be part of a well-established friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will be required to:

  • routinely collect and present behavioural data
  • carry out observations
  • produce reports
  • conduct staff training
  • carry out therapy
  • attend clinical meetings
  • provide support to the Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Behavioural Specialist

Regular supervision will be provided. This role will be of particular relevance to psychology graduates with an interest in future Clinical Psychology training.

Compulsory requirements:

  • A clean and valid driving license and access to own vehicle
  • A degree of 2.1 or above and be eligible for graduate membership of the BPS

Interviews will take place at our head office in Basingstoke on the 4th and 5th of August.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: £26,000.00 per year
