The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Senior HR Advisor who will act as the first point of contact for managers and our people on any employee relations issue, and take ownership and manage any employee relations issues that come into the HR team, seeing it through to completion, keeping the Senior HR Business Partner updated.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- To be the main HR interface for the client group line management and employees, providing full HR support, including building solid relationships, gaining trust, confidence and respect on all HR-related matters. This involves being familiar with the HR policies and practices of the organisation and creating business value, by providing high quality and consistent advice and guidance.
- Ensure that all HR processes and activities are deployed in line with company and in-country employment legislation, practices, policies and procedures.
- Responsible for taking action to ensure that all employment practices under their contract including hiring, promotions, demotions and disciplinary and grievances are conducted in compliance with employment law, Company policy and best practice.
- Responsible for handling day to day enquiries from all Company managers and employees regarding Human Resources related issues, policies and procedures.
- To take responsibility for implementation of HR procedures and policies for their client group, ensuring that they are kept up to date and abreast of current legislation and company requirements and in line with best practice.
- Attend and provide independent HR advice at investigations, hearing and appeal panels as the Senior HR Advisor on single and multi-linked cases.
Minimum Requirements:
- Level 5 CIPD or bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources Management, Labour Relations or related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven experience in an HR Advisory role from a fast moving, multi-site business environment.
- Holds and maintains an active CIPD Membership.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Extensive HR experience and a strong, demonstrable knowledge of UK employment law.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to be accountable for own workload and work autonomously.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving/judgement skills.
- High confidence in providing a supportive HR consultancy service to all key stakeholders across the business.
- Ability to be assertive and challenge managers to be accountable in their decision making.
