Job Description

HVAC and Thermal Dynamics Engineer | Hybrid | Up to £65,000 With Excellent Benefits\\n\\nThe Opportunity\\n\\nDue to an expanding order book, a global Rail leader of turnkey solutions, rail transportation and technology within the Rolling Stock sector, has an essential requirement for a HVAC and Thermal Dynamics Engineer to join the business in a permanent capacity. \\n\\nSitting within the Mechanical Engineering team, you will play an integral role in the design and implementation of HVAC systems into a new fleet of trains for a brand new £500 million project; ensuring this package of work is approved and all legislation is upheld.\\n\\nWith excellent benefits and a focus on personal growth, in this role you will get to work on big projects and provide big solutions in a relaxed environment, where doing the job properly is valued far above getting it done quickly. Designing the best train ever built is always the objective.\\n\\nResponsibilities:\\n\\nProvide bid support for new rolling stock projects including requirements evaluation, pre-concept design development, technical document production, budget forecasting, etc.\\nDevelop/evaluate operability concepts and system architectures.\\nSupport the creation and development of System Requirement Documents\\nBe fully engaged on supplier selection, monitor and review all technical documentation received against requirements.\\nEnsuring the completion of design activities to meet the required interface-freeze deadlines.\\nWhere applicable, develop Software Requirement Specifications and Test Specifications.\\nDevelop Interface Control Documents.\\nDevelop functional, performance and vehicle test specifications, as necessary.\\nProduce/compile drawings, schematics and models, as necessary.\\nProduce design documentation to support the Safety and Approvals team, to achieve all relevant approvals.\\nProduce design documentation to demonstrate compliance with the customer specification.\\nInternational travel 2x a year. \\nThe Candidate:\\n\\nHVAC specific experience/ experience in service and maintenance side of implementing new Rolling Stock projects. \\n\\nHolder of Engineering Degree or Qualified by experience.\\nIdeally working to Chartered Engineer Status\\nLocation\\nLondon or Newton Aycliffe (minimum of 1 day a week, with hybrid working from home). \\n\\nSalary:\\n\\nUp to £65,000 plus an extensive offering of benefits including: \\n\\nPension\\nPrivate Medical Insurance\\nPersonal Accident Insurance\\nDental Insurance \\nHealth Screening\\nGroup Income Protection\\nEmployee Assistance Programme\\nGroup Life Assurance\\nBuy and Sell Annual Leave\\nCycle To Work \\nCompany Car Salary Sacrifice Scheme\\nGym Membership\\nSeason Ticket Loan \\nEye Care\\nDining/Leisure Card\\nTravel Insurance \\n\\nHow the apply for the HVAC and Thermal Dynamics Engineer role: If you are interested in the HVAC and Thermal Dynamics Engineer role, then please apply via this job board.
