A leading manufacturing business in Coventry is seeking an electrically certified Maintenance Engineer to join their extremely busy facility, working on a double day (Morning/Afternoon) shift basis, you will lead effective reactive and planned preventative maintenance works and ensure accurate record keeping.
Commutable from: Coventry, Warwick, Nuneaton, Birmingham
Salary: Excellent Salary plus benefits including paid overtime, pension and extended annual leave.
The Role
The Maintenance Engineer will support planned and reactive maintenance including:
- Developing and delivering the maintenance plan.
- Conduct inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
- Checking electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings and machinery to ensure functionality
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
- Monitoring the equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
- Managing relationships with contractors and service providers
- Keeping accurate maintenance logs and report on daily activities
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
The Person
The successful candidate for the Maintenance Engineer position will possess a proven record in manufacturing plant and operations maintenance including:
- HND or equivalent in Engineering and an electrical Installation qualification
- Proven experience as maintenance engineer/ technician
- Experience in planning maintenance schedules
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of mechanical and electrical systems etc.
- Working knowledge of facilities/building fabric repair.
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills
Flexibility is needed to cover the rotating morning and afternoon shift pattern (6am-2pm & 2pm -10pm) and the ability to work in a highly collaborative manner with regular customer visitors to site.
