Job Description

My client a large commercial fit out/refurbishment and facilities management contractor is actively seeking a fully qualified and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.\\nPredominantly based in and around Manchester but not confined to as my client has projects accross the North West this is a great opportunity for a forward thinking manager looking for solid career progression.\\nThis role will involve\\n● Management of projects on site varying from £1k to £2m.\\n● Be the person on point for all activity relating to the delivery of the project.\\n● Coordinate the delivery of all project activities on site between different trade subcontractors and internal teams.\\n● Work with the Contracts Manager to ensure successfully turning the project plan and quote into a reality.\\n● Manage all stakeholders and work with the Site Managers to create the project programme.\\n● Placing of all subcontractor orders based upon take-off’s.\\n● Working with the design and construction teams to coordinate all activities on site.\\n● Coordination of Mechanical services (RCP’s etc) with other building elements and create solutions to Services clashes, etc on site.\\n● Provide technical support to Mechanical trade packages on site to ensure smooth delivery of the project.\\n● Attend and represent the division at all site progress meetings producing progress reports as required.\\n● Production and compilation of all Mechanical project specifi c H&S documentation. ● Manage variations with on site stakeholders and communicate these back to Contract Managers.\\n● Work with the Contracts Manager to produce valuations of works completed and Final Accounts.\\n● Production and compilation of Project O&M information.\\nTasks & Duties of this role will entail\\n● Build and lead construction team\\n● Take on design development and changes during construction\\n● Manage Construction drawing reviews and submissions\\n● Manage and review internal & subcontractor H&S information\\n● Review and manage programme\\n● Monitor project progress and set deadlines\\n● Attend project progress meetings\\n● Evaluate and manage engineering and installation performance and standards\\n● Manage and monitor procurement during construction with CM\\n● Manage and monitor valuations during construction with CM\\n● Manage commissioning programme\\n● Manage and drive snagging work\\n● Collate and issue O&M information\\n● Essential that communication both verbal and written is of high standard.\\nCandidate Description:\\n● Takes responsibility and ownership of workload.\\n● Someone who’s a great communicator and adapt their style with different stakeholders\\n● Works well to get the best out of people – both those directly and indirectly\\n● Has at least 5 years experience of working in a trade background looking to take the next step in their career.\\n● A desire to work towards or hold a Further Education qualifi cation in a Building Services fi eld is preferable.\\n● Someone who is highly organised, has meticulous attention to detail and is passionate about getting things done on time.\\n● Always seeks out value in their work.\\n● A confi dent communicator who likes to work collaboratively & is comfortable building relationships with a range of stakeholders\\n● Used to multi-tasking and having multiple projects moving forward simultaneously at different stages.\\n● Must be a self-starter and can work in dynamic environments\\n● Must drive.\\nRemuneration to include :\\n● Competitive salary\\n● Colleague incentive plan – company bonus\\n● Company pension up to 8% matched\\n● Healthcare cash plan with Westfi eld\\n● Colleague referral scheme\\n● 25 holiday days per annum, plus bank holidays\\n● Enhanced allocation of sick leave, dependant on length of service\\n● Group life assurance, 4x annual salary\\n● Extra days holiday on your birthday\\n● Enhanced maternity/paternity leave\\n● Critical Illness Cover\\nPERMANENT ROLE WITH IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE
