Modern Workplace Engineer – Lisbon / York
The Role: We are hiring a Modern Workplace Engineer to join our IT Services infrastructure team. The IT Services (ITS) team comprises approximately 100 professionals who deliver and maintain technology enabling our operations, partners, and customers 24/7. Our environment is fast-paced, with evolving priorities. You should be experienced in similar settings, self-motivated, and confident in your abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary technical contact for key areas, coordinating with stakeholders using strong system administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Be an expert in modern workplace technologies, configuring tools to automate infrastructure provisioning, testing, and deployment.
- Contribute to planning, designing, and delivering IT initiatives.
- Create and own system and infrastructure designs, policies, and documentation.
- Provide reports and proposals for improvements to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Advise and guide on adopting methods and tools, driving IT services towards a code-centric infrastructure management model.
- Support escalation point for third-line infrastructure support providers.
- Proactively manage IT infrastructure to minimize disruptions and improve service quality and effectiveness.
- Manage and provide third-line advice for infrastructure platforms, adhering to service levels and standards.
