We are seeking a Financial Controller to manage our accounting function, oversee financial reporting, ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, and lead a high-performing finance team. This role reports directly to the Financial Director and plays a crucial part in supporting business operations through robust financial management.
Day-to-day of the role:

Lead and manage a high-performing finance team, providing training, mentoring, and performance management.

Ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial information.

Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounting processes, including variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.

Maintain the integrity of financial information and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Oversee the Accounts Payable function and optimise the use of ERP systems to streamline financial processes and reporting.

Manage tax compliance, including corporation tax, VAT, and other regulatory filings.

Prepare and file statutory accounts and coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate audit completions.

Oversee financial results consolidation across different business units and subsidiaries, ensuring accurate data integration and reporting.

Develop and implement strong internal controls, continuously reviewing and improving financial processes to mitigate risks.

Strong academic background and professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

At least 3 years of experience in a Finance Manager/Financial Controller role or similar.

Proven experience in team management, including coaching and development.

Background in working with Big 4 audit firms is highly desirable.

Extensive knowledge of ERP systems, tax compliance, audit processes, and statutory accounting.

Strong experience in management accounting and financial reporting, including understanding of intercompany recharges and multi-entity consolidations.
