A phenomenal opportunity has arisen for a Production Manager to join an automotive manufacturer at their state of the art facility based in Wolverhampton.

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for the entire production operations which includes 3 Shift Managers and 80 Operators. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the manufacturing team in order to ensure production targets are achieved.

Further Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead/responsible for the 5S standards across the shop floor.
  • Ensure Quality is a priority within the Manufacturing Team.
  • Control of costs, including overtime and consumables.
  • Creating the action plans and taking the leading role in the development of shop floor capabilities.
  • Lead, manage, and coach Shift Managers through plant objectives and targets.
  • Ensure training and development needs are addressed for all team members.
  • Fully support Continuous Improvement (CI) and drive/champion projects as and when required.
  • Continually lead and support Right First Time (RFT) activities on Quality, Scrap, and Process Improvements.
  • Day-to-day management of the Manufacturing Team, focusing on labour efficiency, OEE, Scrap, to achieve targets whilst ensuring customer satisfaction.

Ideally, candidates will either be degree qualified or qualified by experience with at least two years or more working at Production Management level within an automotive manufacturing environment.
