They are a well-established leader in their field, a niche player allowing them to be agile, entrepreneurial, and focused on delivering excellence to the customer. They have several business units: supply & installation, service, events, and seasonal. The business is privately owned and rapidly growing.
In line with this growth, they seek to appoint a proven leader of Sales personnel to build upon this already successful operation and take full ownership of business development, account management, and new business. You will take full responsibility for all areas of sales, the team, the processes, and its ongoing growth and development. As part of the senior management team, you will play an active role in shaping the future of the business.
This is a creative environment and a 360 model - your team will not only be responsible for winning and closing the business but also for taking the brief and conceiving and designing the winning solution. The vast majority of customers are generated via marketing, the website, repeat business, referrals, or through their long-standing presence at the top of their market. Leads are warm or active enquiries.
Ideally, you will have proven experience:
- Building and leading a capable sales team
- Managing and developing sales processes
- Setting targets and leading a team to achieve them
- Experience in a service-based industry (customer-focused)
- Management of sales support technology (CRM etc.)
