Our Client has a requirement for a Pipe Stress Engineer, who will be required to work on an Outside IR35 Contract basis in Leatherhead.

Role Purpose:

Our client requires a Piping Stress Engineer on a high-end plastics recycling Project for an initial 3 month contract role that has an immediate start.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  1. During Detail Engineering, perform Piping Stress Analysis of high temperature piping systems using a combination of practical experience and commercially available software.
  2. Implement project specifications.
  3. Work as part of a team to ensure Isometrics are being checked in a timely manner.
  4. Ensure a consistent and compliant approach to project execution.
  5. FEA Analysis of specialist piping components.
  6. Analysis of new and existing piping systems on Greenfield and Brownfield Projects.
  7. Work individually or as part of a team in the home office and abroad.
  8. Communicate effectively with other engineering disciplines.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of applicable industry standards (ASME B31.3, API, BS and EN Standards).
  2. Experience on large EPC and Brownfield projects.
  3. Experienced in using commercially available piping stress analysis software (Caesar II).
  4. Working knowledge of PED.
  5. Experienced in developing and implementing project procedures.
  6. Vibration mitigation of piping systems.
  7. Good communication skills.
  8. Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  9. Chartered Engineer Status (desirable).
