Job Description Job Title: Examinations Officer Main Purpose Of Job: The main purpose of the Examinations Officer position is to ensure the efficient and effective coordination, administration, and delivery of traditional UK assessments within the centre. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the examination process, including planning, logistics, quality assurance, and candidate support. The Examinations Officer is responsible for maintaining high operational standards, adhering to regulatory requirements, and upholding the company’s vision and standards to provide a smooth and positive examination experience for all candidates. Reports To: Centre Manager Location: Doncaster Main Tasks Of Job: Comprehensive Examination Planning * Develop strategic plan to implement and meet the examination schedule covering a range of assessments from UK awarding bodies. * Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to determine examination venues, dates, and logistics. Logistics and Administration for All Assessments * Oversee logistical planning for all assessments, ensuring seamless coordination, venue set-up, and provision of necessary materials. * Manage the examination administration process, maintaining compliance with established protocols. Team Leadership and Training * Recruit and manage a diverse team of examination invigilators, providing training and guidance for the delivery of UK assessments. Quality Assurance for All Assessments * Implement quality assurance measures for all assessments, ensuring accuracy, security, and fairness. * Conduct regular reviews of examination procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes. Candidate Support for All Assessments * Serve as the primary contact for candidates, addressing inquiries, providing information, and ensuring a positive experience throughout various assessments. * Manage accommodations and special arrangements for candidates with specific needs or requirements. Regulatory Compliance Access Assessments * Work as the centre lead when offering access arrangements within the centre. * Support the access arrangements teams in maintaining excellent customer service relating to the access arrangements journey. Desired Attributes but Not Essential * Proven experience in the administration and coordination of UK assessments from awarding bodies such as AQA, Edexcel, Pearson, and OCR. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages and Management Information Systems (MIS). * A good general standard of A-Level or equivalent education, with qualifications to at least GCSE Level Grade C or 4 standards. * Excellent customer service skills in person, via email, and by telephone. * Knowledge or understanding of education systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both in a team and independently. * Basic knowledge of profit and loss (P&L) and budgeting. * Smart appearance. * Ability to adapt quickly to different situations.
