Senior Platform Engineer

Note: this role will involve 4 days a week on-site, with 1 working from home. Candidates for this role must hold an active UK security clearance to a high government standard.The roleWe are looking for a platform engineer to support our data team in developing and maintaining Linux based platforms, with a core focus on secure by design requirements. The company promises exciting, engaging and rewarding projects for those that are keen to develop and build a successful career.Core ResponsibilitiesDevelopment of a Kubernetes stack providing tools and meeting SBD requirementsUpdating security, software, dependencies, libraries etcSet up and maintain Spark Clusters on current platforms, migrating to new platformsManage user accounts and permissions across IdPMaintain the Delta LakeEnsure secure by design assurance across the platformWhat we are looking forExcellent Linux engineering experienceStrong Kubernetes and Docker engineering experienceConfident in scripting languages eg python, bashExperience managing and maintaining air-gapped networks and cloud platformsFamiliarity with HPC environmentsKnowledge of security, encryption and compliance standardsWhat’s in it for you?Base salary of £80,000+£5000 a year professional development budgetWellness program25 days annual leave
