The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting an Expatriate Tax Manager with expertise in UK/US taxation to join our UK&I team. In this role, you will work closely with the Global Mobility team, delivering exceptional service to our clients while demonstrating your strong technical tax knowledge.
You will manage a portfolio of clients, including inbound expatriates to the UK and outbound expatriates from the UK.
About you:
- ATT and/or CTA and EA qualifications.
- Experience working in Mobility tax and/or private client services.
- In depth, up to date, knowledge of UK/US taxation with specialist knowledge and experience dealing with complex cross border tax issues (from a Corporate/ individual perspective).
- Project and staff management experience and strong organisational skills.
- Experience reviewing complex US Federal/State and UK tax returns (delegating work where possible or necessary) and delivering UK/US tax advisory projects.
- Ability to manage a substantial client portfolio profitably and experience actively seeking opportunities for developing new clients and for selling new services to existing clients.
- Strong client relationship skills with experience dealing with client senior management/ Executives/ C-Suite.
- Strong technical skills and keen to develop further.
- Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral.
- A strategic and commercial awareness of wide business issues.
- An enthusiastic and flexible attitude to work.
- The ability to be a strong and motivated team player, ability to integrate with new teams quickly.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for a portfolio of clients with inbound expatriates to the UK and UK outbounds.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and providing consistently high levels of client service.
- Managing the successful delivery of mobility tax projects and ensuring technical excellence.
- Responsible for day-to-day delivery of client services both compliance and advisory.
- Build relationships within the firm, across service lines and with our overseas colleagues, to identify mobility opportunities.
- Proactively seeking new tax projects from existing clients and driving new work from target organisations.
- Be a trusted member of the management team by developing and counselling junior members of staff; and making key decisions that affect the team.
