As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing financial insights and analysis to drive strategic decisions and improve business performance within the business. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with various departments including marketing and sales to understand their financial needs and contribute to the overall financial health of the company. You will be responsible for developing financial models, analysing revenue trends, and assisting in the preparation of budget forecasts, while collaborating with senior management to shape financial strategies that align with corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
- Analyse financial data and market trends to identify strategic business opportunities and risks, providing recommendations for optimisation.
- Develop robust financial models to support business projects, forecasts, and expansion plans, ensuring scalability and adaptability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial strategies and objectives, fostering a cohesive business approach.
- Monitor and report on financial performance against budget and forecasts, providing actionable insights.
- Participate in ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required by management, delivering timely and comprehensive insights.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and synthesise complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
- Advanced Excel skills, experience with financial software and databases such as SAP or Oracle.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
