Job Description:

We’re building the world’s first visual modelling solution for corporate structures and transactions. Our mission is to transform the way that professionals work with complex information. Taking what’s traditionally found in impenetrable, text-based legal documents, StructureFlow enables users to dynamically collate, visualise and model information holistically, enabling professionals to cut through complexity through the power of visual working.

StructureFlow has secured Series A funding, we are growing fast and are at an exciting stage of scaling up. We have great traction today, working with over 50 highly engaged international law firms including 3/5 of the UK Magic Circle and a sizable segment of the US AMLAW 200.

An exciting opportunity to join the Engineering team in our scale-up organisation as a backend developer. We have been very successful in delivering our product to our customers so far but want your help to level up and leap forwards.

Responsibilities

  1. You will be deeply involved in the design and expansion of our underlying data model to support the current and future iterations of the application in a way that is robust, performant and extensible.
  2. You will be building upon our existing application and integrating with third party services via APIs and building out our own APIs for our web-based application.
  3. We have a suite of internal services for exporting and importing content from Microsoft Office formats (OpenXML) including Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. You will be expanding on these services and incorporating new features to provide the highest fidelity data imports and exports for our clients in business-critical environments.
  4. We utilise a modern stack consisting of restful APIs, Azure Serverless Functions, mostly built in Node.js with TypeScript and PostgreSQL or Mongo DB as a datastore.
  5. You will be expected to be able to apply your skills flexibly across the stack.

Requirements

  1. You need to be fluent in TypeScript and NodeJS. Ideally with commercial experience in building Enterprise ready secure applications in an ISO27001 compliant environment.
  2. Familiar with writing valuable and perceptive unit tests for your code and with taking part in peer reviews of code from around the team.
  3. Experience with Microsoft Azure and scripted deployments.
  4. Commercial experience with GitHub, ShortCut (or Jira or equivalent) and Postman (for API testing).
  5. PostgreSQL 14 and Mongo DB.
  6. Functional Programming.
  7. As a team we value best practices, performance optimisations and integrate security by design.
  8. Any experience relating to Legal Tech or FinTech, or visual data presentation would be a welcome bonus.

Competitive salary.

Opportunity to join a dynamic startup in our mission to become the critical infrastructure for transactions of the future.

High impact work that really matters. Success in this role will drive our company forwards and have an outsized impact on our business and our big-name clients.

Flexible working – 3 days in our WeWork London office.

Learning & development budgets and support.

Regular socials and events for the whole company.
