Client Side – Regional Estate Surveyor

Your new company
I am currently working with a client who are looking for a Regional Estate Surveyor to manage their retail portfolio across the South Region of London. The role is searching for someone with a can do attitude who will be self-organised and with a proactive approach!

Your new role

  • Negotiation rent reviews & submitting written representations to Arbitrator/Expert
  • Negotiation and overseeing all lease renewals including basic lease terms and submission of expert witness reports as and when required
  • Arranging disposals of vacant and part vacant units and negotiating subtenant lease renewals and rent reviews
  • Working alongside the development team to secure at risk licences and to grow the estate through the acquisition of new property
  • Negotiation of dilapidation/repair schedules and management of outsourced external advisors when appropriate
  • Negotiation of surrenders, lease extensions and Deeds of Variation
  • Review and challenge of service charges and insurance costs were higher than anticipated
  • Negotiating and agreeing licences, including licences for alterations and satellite dishes
  • Ensuring compliance of lease covenants including all landlord and tenant issues and successfully resolving property related disputes.

What you\’ll need to succeed

  • MRICS – Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
  • Degree in Real Estate
  • Proficient in Lnadlord and Tenant acts
  • Property Management experience and legal understanding
