Our client is a Local Authority in the East Midlands and they’re looking for a Principal Planner / Team Leader to join them for a contract position and lead a small team of Planners. You will manage a small team of about 4 planners and you will be responsible for checking and signing off reports, liaising with members, attending team meetings, planning committee and working pro-actively in a period of Unitary transformation. You will also be required to manager a small caseload of medium to complex planning applications. Our client requires an established Principal Planner and you will need an excellent knowledge of UK planning regs, as well as majors experience alongside good leadership skills. To carry out this role you will need to be a degree qualified town planner with recent experience of having worked within a local authority development management team. You will need to have experience of supervising junior staff and signing off delegated applications for this role. The initial contract will be for 3 months, the rate offered is £53/hr Umbrella and this role is inside IR35. Our client offers hybrid working. Please get in touch for further details.
