The role – Finance Business Partner (Maternity cover)

As a Finance Business Partner you will work closely with other Finance Business Partners and the Head of Finance in delivering accurate financial reports in a timely manner and supporting budget holders. This is a fixed term contract to run through to 31st October 2025.

What you’ll do

You will:

  • Actively support budget holders in reviewing performance information to identify areas for potential savings or delivering more outputs within permitted budgets, manage risks and draft action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure management accounts, budgets and forecasts are delivered to strict deadlines.
  • Present management information packs at directorate, senior management, and other service review meetings regularly, highlighting performance trends, issues and risks.
  • Assist with annual statutory account production, providing quality audit file.
  • Work closely with the Care and Support team to gain a better understanding of the grant fundings.
  • Work with Housing services to allow for better understanding of managing agent costs.

What you’ll need

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is degree qualified (or equivalent).
  • Is qualified or studying for Accountancy Professional exams (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CIPFA) or has membership with a recognised accountancy body.
  • Has strong experience within the Housing Sector.
  • Is able to communicate, negotiate with and challenge budget holders appropriately.
