JOB TITLE: Associate Director, Asset Finance
LOCATION(S): London
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, in the office.
About this opportunity:
We’re currently seeking an Associate Director, Asset Finance to join our Trade and Working Capital team and be a part of our exciting growth journey. Our team is a cross-sector product team providing our CIB clients with solutions across the spectrum of payments and working capital products including core trade, open account, structured trade, ECA and asset finance.
The focus of this role involves cross sector Asset Finance origination, identifying new opportunities across corporate and institutional banking clients. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside a growing team with direct sales goals to meet our ambition of significantly increasing the size of our business. This role will form a key connectivity between Coverage, Trade and Working Capital Product, Asset Finance Product and Asset Finance operations.
Your accountabilities will include:
- Origination of new asset finance opportunities with defined growth targets across targeted sectors.
- Identify customer needs to develop, structure and review proposals to meet customer requirements. Recognise opportunities to develop further income and economic profit, recommending and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Actively maintain product relationships within the portfolio of existing and agreed target clients.
- Meeting Group risk and profitability requirements to deliver targeted growth in the TWC business in terms of Income and Assets.
- Maintaining an understanding of our wider product sets including but not limited to traditional trade, open account, structured trade, and ECA.
- Prepare and submit credit applications in conjunction with Coverage, aligned with defined strategy and engage with colleagues in Product, Delivery, Lending Execution and Risk as appropriate.
- Develop, implement and complete plans for client sales and product relationship calls, with the ability to confidently discuss technical and operational aspects of transactions.
- Identify product gaps or new product opportunities to influence the development of key new product service initiatives and more efficient delivery channels.
- Actively generate and support the origination of Asset Finance transactions.
What you’ll need:
- Excellent knowledge of Asset Finance products.
- Experience at managing, originating and providing solutions to Large Corporate clients (defined as >£500m annual turnover).
- Shown success in Asset Finance Sales and Business Development.
- A technical understanding of Trade and Working Capital products would be beneficial.
