Manufacturing Project Engineer
18 month contract
Skinningrove – Up to 5% travel within the UK may include other facilities when required
£38.50 via an umbrella company basis or £28.40ph PAYE equivalent to £55k
We’re looking for a Manufacturing Project Engineer with a background in Lean Manufacturing and Automation solutions to assist a Global Off Highway Manufacturer in Skinningrove.
About the Opportunity:
- Proactively identify business opportunities for capital investment
- Full scope Project management; development, budgets, resources and management of NPI or Improvement projects
- Facilitate the development of manufacturing process solutions using a range of tools e.g. process flows, PFMEA’s, control plans
- Plan equipment specifications and installation requirements
- Work with facility teams to establish the correct suppliers and manage timelines
- Work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders to drive DFM and best manufacturing practices.
Experience Required:
- Ideally 6 Sigma project leadership experience.
- Good understanding of Machining, Product Handling, Heat Treatment and supporting systems, Inspection and product Finishing processes.
- Experience of leading quality concern resolution with tools such as 8D, 5 why, fishbone diagrams and other appropriate quality tools
- Existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes
- Knowledge of effective project management strategies
- Lean Manufacturing
- Working knowledge of ABB Robotics – advantageous.
