The Role

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will have direct responsibility for planning and managing the company’s manufacturing, production, maintenance, service and Health and Safety activities on a day to day basis. Ensuring Health and Safety standards are met and surpassed is an integral part of this position. This will be achieved by planning, managing and overseeing work schedules, working from our Clients’ in-house software system. Conducting daily/weekly/monthly meetings with departmental supervisors across various locations in the UK to ensure our Clients’ manufacturing, production, maintenance, service and Health and Safety expectations are met. Liaising with departments across the business and reporting project progress directly to Operations Manager is an essential part of this demanding role.

The Person

The Production Manager will be a forward-thinking dynamic person who is able to multi-task under pressure whilst maintaining a professional, can-do attitude at all times. They will have previously held a similar role and be able to demonstrate leadership qualities under pressure. The successful candidate will have an engineering background with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, directly or indirectly managing 70+ employees.

Qualifications

Minimum Time Served (or equivalent) in a metal Fabrication/Machine Shop discipline. IOSH/NEBOSH AND Lean Manufacturing certifications are a prerequisite.

Salary & Benefits

£45,000 – £50,000pa
3% company contributory pension scheme
Death in Service (3 times salary)
25 Days Annual Leave (+ statutory “Bank Holidays”)
