Senior HR Business Partner
Permanent role
Location: Cambridge & remote (hybrid working)
Salary: £46,485 – £58,596 per annum + excellent benefits

A Senior HR Business Partner is required for our higher education client to be a key member of their Senior HR Management team which is a specialist team that provides a range of HR, recruitment and clinical services to staff and visitors of all the departments, institutes and units within a specific medical school.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure their client areas have excellent, responsive business partnering, resourcing and HR administration functions.
As the Senior HR Business Partner you will be responsible for developing the departmental HR and workforce plans to ensure they align with the changing strategic needs/aims of the medical school, HR, organisation and the NHS.
You will lead and manage two teams to deliver a portfolio of services including HR business partnering, workforce planning, resourcing, medical staffing, EDI and pay and reward across the school.
Take the lead to develop and deliver innovative, best practice HR solutions to meet departmental and school objectives.
You will provide leadership and expert HR advice across the school to ensure all relevant parties are well equipped to reach decisions relating to the HR service within that particular department.
Essential Skills & Experience required
- As the Senior HR Business Partner you will possess the CIPD qualification or equivalent (ideally Associate or Chartered).
- Previous experience of advising and influencing senior management on matters of HR and strategy practice.
- Previous experience of coaching, mentoring and managing professional HR staff.
- Possess evidence of having implemented business plans together with large scale project planning and management methodology; including the delivery of work to quality and time, autonomously and through others.
- Ideally if you have worked with an NHS Trust/Body or Medical School previously that would be highly advantageous.
- Budgetary management experience.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Coaching and advising colleagues on complex issues.
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage large and/or complex projects.
