SYSTEMS ENGINEERNEW PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE FOR A SYSTEMS ENGINEER IN SOUTHAMPTONSearchability NS&D has a permanent opportunity for an RF Design Engineer to work across an exciting range of projectsSalaries up to £90k + PackageMust have active SC ClearanceFor more details please call me on 07842 002 256 or email shaun.varley@searchability.comWHAT WILL THE SYSTEMS ENGINEER BE DOING?Working as technical lead / design authority of a team to research, design, implement and support a range of products and delivered solutionsSupporting generation of applications for product investment, following a product roadmapApplying your system design skills between specific areas of business, spanning a range of existing and emerging technologies including electronic warfare (EW), RF cyber, applications, middleware and radio bearersTechnical decision making and problem solving, direction of engineering teamsTechnical bid leadership and senior technical writingIntegration, Validation & Verification planning as necessary to de-risk deliveryPlanning and executing domestic and overseas system installations and integrationsEngage with stakeholders to establish consensus on viability of solution options and the associated benefits and risks, decision support.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:System engineering lifecycles, tailoring and planningExperience with working with commercial managers and civil contractors to achieve system installation and deployment as locations required by the clientChairing design reviewsRequirements elicitation & managementRisk and opportunity managementConfiguration management & baseline development through lifecycleKnowledge and understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) and (ideally) both military and civil communications systemsAppreciation of hardware firmware and software, including SDR with high speed ADCs and RF sub-systemsAppreciation of a production environment, design and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and test fixturesProduct qualification and safety, relevant legislation and sign-offEnvironmental regulations and legislation, product sign-offEMC regulations and control techniques, working with specialists, sign-off.Successful applicant must be a Sole British national and must have active SC ClearanceTO BE CONSIDERED….Please either apply by clicking online or emailing me directly to shaun.varley@searchability.com – I can make myself available outside of normal working hours to suit from 7am until 10pm.
