Are you passionate about supporting ex-offenders in rebuilding their lives and reintegrating into society? We’re looking for a Family Support and Wellbeing Mentor to help ex-offenders develop and maintain positive relationships and help prevent reoffending.
You will be working for a leading criminal justice charity focused on rehabilitation and reintegration. This is a 1 year maternity cover, part time for 15 hours weekly (9AM to 5PM), with a salary of ÂŁ10,710 per annum. You must be a driver as this role will involve outreach work covering: Southshields, Gateshead, and Sunderland.
What you’ll do:
- Provide 1-to-1 and group interventions for ex-offenders and their families.
- Help service users develop healthy relationships, manage conflict, and improve communication.
- Support positive reintegration into society through structured wellbeing programmes.
- Work closely with probation services and partner agencies.
- Manage a caseload of up to 10 individuals, with tailored support ranging from action plans to multi-agency work.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in criminal justice, employment support, supported housing would be ideal but we would also encourage applications from other sectors such as recruitment, healthcare, sales, etc.
- Criminology Graduates are also encouraged to apply!
