About The Team
You will be working across a multi-discipline team including engineers working in software, systems, and hardware. This team will help develop new products for customers across land, sea, and air domains through the full development lifecycle.
Our Opportunity
You will be responsible for identifying, coordinating, and leading improvement activities across the Engineering function, and in collaboration with other business functions. You will use process and project data, identify opportunities for process streamlining and cost reduction in development activities. Act as a “Local Process Correspondent” for the Thales process-based reference system, communicate and effectively implement changes to the process. You will actively monitor implementation across projects to identify weaknesses that need to be addressed and lead the Engineering function for external assessments, guiding the team through preparation, auditing, and non-conformance management.
About You
- Demonstrated ability in improvement planning at both strategic and implementation levels, including a proven record in issue/risk identification, root cause analysis, solution development, and improvement roll-out.
- Experience in implementing an improvement strategy through the management and motivation of improvement teams.
- Great communication and influencing skills at all levels in an organization.
- Trained and experienced in a relevant improvement philosophy (e.g., Lean, CMMI, 6 Sigma, etc.).
- Experience in the product development process and understanding of a range of lifecycle types (Waterfall, Agile) and their appropriate use.
- Understanding of the requirements of recognized standards (ISO9001/AS9100) and relevant experience in their achievement and maintenance.
