The Gig

Are you passionate about making a real impact on employee success? Supporting our UK and Nordics teams, you’ll have the chance to shape company culture, drive employee engagement, and help our teams thrive. Reporting to our Chief People Officer within our Global People Team of 7 HR professionals, you’ll be at the heart of our HR operations, providing expert support and solutions that empower our people to reach their full potential.

You Will

  • Act as a point of contact for employees and managers seeking advice on a variety of HR matters, including performance issues, grievance procedures, and employee conduct.
  • Support the performance review process, guiding managers on how to conduct performance appraisals, provide constructive feedback, and set employee objectives.
  • Help managers manage underperforming employees by providing advice on creating and managing PIPs, ensuring they are fair, consistent, and compliant.
  • Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and HR documentation in compliance with data protection and legal requirements.
  • Assist in initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, job satisfaction, and retention, such as organizing surveys or feedback mechanisms.
  • Help promote initiatives related to employee wellbeing, such as health and wellness programmes or flexible working arrangements.
  • Prepare and present HR reports on key metrics (e.g., turnover, attendance, training), providing insights to management as needed.
  • Manage payroll process, including all payroll-related queries, such as answering employee questions about salaries, bonuses, and benefits.
  • Ad hoc recruitment support, collaborating with our Talent Acquisition to assist in recruitment process, which may involve creating job descriptions, posting job ads, screening resumes, and shortlisting candidates.
  • Ownership of the onboarding and offboarding process for new employees, which includes orientation, paperwork, setting up IT access, and introducing company policies and culture.

About You

  • Ideally, 1-3 years in an HR advisory or generalist role, with exposure to recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with employees and managers across all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee issues and mediate disputes effectively.
  • High level of organisational skills to manage multiple HR activities and administrative duties simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with HR software systems for managing employee records, payroll, and performance management.
  • Some knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices to ensure compliance with regulations.
